We love Mexican food!!

After some bad luck with car parts, and not being able to get the

brakes to work properly, we decided to take the van to a brake shop..

So hopefully they can fix it...

Every bad thing has a good side...

This one being not able to cook myself because of the long

hours of work on the van... So we go out to have Mexican food!!

Hahahaha.. it's fast, delicious and cheap...

Niko, we ate Mexican food for 3 this last week...

Wish you could be here to enjoy it with us!! hehe...

The waves where sweet yesterday!!!

Cause of the work on the van we haven't surfed today, but it's

supposed to be big surf today! By the comments on facebook
you can tell everyone enjoyed the big waves...

surf, but we where to busy working on the van..

Hi peoples...

Excellent news... This morning we jumped in the car at 5 am

and drove all the way up to Valencia... No.. not in Spain..

Valencia North of LA, to go and see a VW bus..

It looked promising on pictures and it was just as good in real..

Of course it has issues like the brakes and wipers and so much more...

But still it was far out the best deal we found this time.. We're not in

the luxury of waiting much longer...

So YAY!!!! :D

Pictures soon as he will put it on a trailer and

bring it all the way south to us..

Sorry there are no pictures yet... and only bla bla...

patience is a good thing... hihihi ;D



Experiences of the night..

Oh here are some of my experiences I wanted to share with you
guys..Today we found out about 'taco Tuesday'...

Every Mexican restaurant in San Clemente serve

tacos for cheaper.... 

We where invited by Steven Luciani to join him so we went
to Hapa J's for taco's.... We were chatting away...

bumped in to Christian Wach and Hanna...

Nothing out of the ordinary...

Cause of taco Tuesday it was really busy, so when we
finished eating this guy that works there walks up to our table 
and ask us if he can give the table to waiting people and offers
each of us a cocktail as compensation...

That was a first, but of course we were totally fine rounding up....

Second experience is at the San Clemente Starbucks..

I order a Chinese green tea (thinking of Daniel).. and the girls says

they or out of Chinese green tee.. So she list's the other possibilities
and after I chose she said

'If you don't like it I'll change it right up for you'....

I'm telling you... Only in America!!

Remember Karen last time at Antoine's Cafe, when she redid
our coffee twice and still we ended up not having to pay for it..

Hey you guys.. us again..

Sorry... I don't wanna brag about the excellent weather here..

But I'm going to anywayz... hehe..

Today was an other summer day.. sunny Cali is sunny and warm!!

We love it... and yes we do feel for you guys back home..

Hope everything is ok.. all houses are standing up right..

 no cats or dogs were blown away...

No babies have been blown out of bellies...

Oh right.. We got great news from our friends Kaitlin and Steven..

Yes you guessed it right.. their expecting their first baby..

We are soo excited for them.. They'll do great!! Kaitlin is

saying she wants 3 kids, but I know they really want 10..

At least!! hahaha...

Oh Jolien, I needed to ask you if you feel like everything you eat

tastes better then before you were pregnant!!??

Anyway... here's our view right now..

And oef... that crazy girl that was sitting next to me is gone now..

hahaha....

Please don't send photo's of the storm... that will only make us feel better..

We must have been good...

AHA... today was the day...

Well actually yesterday was the day we picked up our new boards..

It's like opening (late) Christmas presents...

Santa must like us over here!! haha..

Karen, Daniel, I'm soooo sorry but we have to keep up the

anticipation for you guys... So there aren't any pictures

of your boards yet...

An other explanation is that we have no more credit on

our cards... Any way... Believe me Karen, your board is awesome!!

Daniel, maybe you have been a bad boy.. yours still isn't ready..

But I guess your not in a hurry... ;D

I can tell you Dom's board is awesome and very light weight...

Oh no wait... no it's not!! :o

You guys will need a carrier... or only surf SanO... (Hint)

On this photo Dom thought that waxing was hard work... try carrying it to the

Le Rozel waterline at low tide!!

No women.. not Karen nor me will ever carry these boards!! ;)

Then it was my turn waxing my board...

I love how it came out.. love the colors and it doesn't look too girly

for me.. yewwwww.....

So today there were supposed to be big waves... so Dom decided not to

bring his new board to the beach.. I did.. and I'm so lucky..

Small but fun waves!! hahaha... paddling out... on a wave..

This boards is really easy to ride, unlike I thought it would be..

Real steady, fun old school feel to it but easy..

have a look at yet an other van... looks promising on pictures...

but they always do!! :o

After an other day of VW bus hunting, we went to see the flower float

parade in Pasadena... As we already were in Arcadia witch isn't

far away from Pasadena... Along the way there were some funny billboards...

What to do on the first day of the year?? Hummm....

(good title for a song..)

The waves were really good!! Our paddle strength
not so much!! :o But it is so much fun to see everybody
down on the beach!!!

Oh, Karen and Daniel... we saw your boards!!!

Actually only Daniel's board is still in the glass shop,
but the others are ready...

Such beautiful boards!!!!!!!! hahahaha..

We haven't picked them up yet...

but hopefully we'll get there in time tomorrow...

Today we went to go see 2 VW buses...
the first was just over priced...

So was the second one but price/quality was better...

Tomorrow we are going to go see yet an other one..
keep you posted on that!!

Next  Saturday is an other edition of the Pamona swap meet,
so we may find a bus there, or parts...

But very important and exciting was meeting Lynn
and moving into her house!!!

It's a nice early 70's house with some gorgeous
furniture in there!!! And a cool sunny garden... YAY!!!! :D

Here's Dom in the kitchen/dinning room/one of the living rooms...

The kitchen is old but practical!! And this is one of

the furniture peaces I would wanna take home..

hahaha...

Of of this space is the garden...

This is the 7am sun creeping over the fence... :D

 But what the title of this post means...
the garden is full of huge cactuses!!

Apparently it all started off with a small peace of cactus Lynn planted,
but now it's gotten ' out of control'... hahaha... We love it!!

This one looks like a tree... to big to fit inside I'm afraid Niko...

And all along side of the house...

We only need to get the internet hooked up now so we
don't need to go to Starbucks to surf..
It's a hard knock life!!!! HAHAHAHAHA.... ;)
